Shanon's Sweet Soy Tofu
Tofu marinade:
- 450g firm tofu
- 4tbs soy sauce
- 2tbs rice wine vinegar
- Cornflour
- Oil of choice
Glaze:
- 3tbs CannonBee Honey
- 1tbs CannonBee Chilli Honey
- 1tbs CannonBee Garlic Honey
- 3tbs soy sauce
- 3tbs rice wine vinegar
- 3tbs vegetable stock
- 1tbs cornflour
Instructions
- Wrap tofu in paper towel, place a bread board on top of the tofu & let sit for 10min to draw out excess moisture
- Cut tofu into cubes
- Mix marinade ingredients, add tofu, leave for 5-10min, turn, leave for another 5-10mins
- Remove tofu from marinade & pat dry with paper towel
- Coat with cornflour
- Mix all sauce glaze ingredients
- Deep/shallow fry tofu over high heat, until crisp with golden coating, remove onto paper towel.
Add CannonBee Chilli Honey and Fermented Garlic in Raw Honey into a pan on Medium heat with a dash of oil. Reduce to a glaze and mix in tofu. Serve immediately over jasmine rice accompanied with blanched broccoli.
